Nancy Furst has been a Licensed real estate agent for over 20 years and is recognized as a top-producing agent. She trained as both a commercial and residential agent and business referrals from clients that  has made her successful through Houston’s turbulent business cycles – “Customer service is exceedingly important in my business” Furst states. Nancy recently represented a client on a sale of a 150-acre tract that was on the market for 16 years, the client was patient and wanted a premium price, and that sale is the largest sale recorded in the history of HAR’s MLS. Relationships and referrals have also opened doors to work with international buyers leading Nancy to earn the Certified International Property Specialist Certification (CIPS).

Nancy became more politically active when her business was affected by Eminent Domain and Private Property Rights Issues. She became more involved in HAR’s political affairs and TREPAC (Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee). Nancy sought appointments to the HAR committees for Governmental and Political Affairs and TREPAC, eventually becoming the Chair of the HAR Governmental and Political Affairs Committee. Furst has worked on numerous local, state, and national campaigns, advocating for private property rights legislation. Nancy was elected to HAR’s Board of Directors rising through officer positions to serve as the Association’s Chair of HAR  in 2015. She said that level of involvement rates as one of the top 3 experiences in her career. Furst stated she is ready to take her experience and involvement to the next level. Remember, if you are not at the table, you are on the menu. No truer words were ever spoken.

For the past several years, Nancy has been the office manager and manager at a boutique brokerage.  Recently Furst has joined Rutledge Real Estate LLC, in both the Commercial and Residential Sections. As a founding member of BACREN (Bay Area Commercial Real Estate Network), she is looking forward to working with Wayne Rutledge and his Team, as Wayne is a past President of BACREN.    Furst’s favorite slogan is “Teamwork Makes The Dream Work” and what a great TEAM it is! As with a changing economy, her team will be operating virtually for a season, all the while continuing to provide EXEMPLARY customer service in and around  Harris County.

Although Nancy considers herself to be a realist, she is ultimately guided by her Christian faith in the Lord! I think we will have a new normal in Real Estate moving forward, but remember, folks will always need a place to live. Don’t buy into doom and gloom, Get Up, Go Out and Conquer YOUR world. It’s a great time to be in Real Estate no matter what is happening elsewhere
